Shannon attended the University of Oklahoma where she graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology. She obtained her masters degree in occupational therapy in 2018 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, although she will deny any loyalty to the Longhorns. Shannon moved from her hometown of Katy, Texas to Norman where she spent the first four years of her career working with adults in the inpatient rehabilitation and hospital setting.
